Turkiey says 18 tankers with oil stuck in Black Sea

ISTANBUL, Dec 9 (PRIME) -- 18 tankers with 2 million tonnes of oil are stuck in the Black Sea because they cannot get insurance, the maritime authority of Turkey reported on Friday.

The Financial Times reported earlier, citing data of oil traders and tracking services that a tanker jam formed near the coasts of Turkey after a price restriction was put on Russian oil, and Turkey introduced an additional requirement of presentation of a Protection and Indemnity Insurance letter upon entrance of ships with crude to its straits.
